RMRR is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Utah Fabrication and was established in 2007 to repair, clean and paint railcars.

RMRR owns one spur on the Utah Industrial Depot in Tooele next to our fabrication shop and is presently looking at several others in Utah. Our Tooele Rail Yard operates under approximately 31,000 sq. ft. of overhead crane facilities covering two x 100 yard lengths of track and allows for work to be done on railcars as well as for the blasting and coating of cars as required. Additionally, we have miles of track available for unit train inspections and storage.

Our certified carmen are capable of handling equipment repairs with covered-hoppers our specialty or for mobile inspection and repairs as required. In addition we also specialize in tankcar cleaning and repairs, RMRR is certified to perform single-car air tests and all underframe repairs. RMRR entered into an agreement with the US Army to store rail cars on their private and protected facilities at commercial rates.

As the only F&G certified repair yard near the Union Pacific/Salt Lake City hub, (with the expectation of attaining the M-1003 shop certification in early 2009), the rail industry now has a new repair facility that inspects, cleans, repairs, welds, blasts and paints railcars right out side Salt Lake City, Utah.
