Our Background

Utah Fabrication specializes in material handling equipment along with Tekko the ability to install this and other items that we fabricate, including complete production lines and process equipment. Our design and build capabilities enable us to manage everything from engineering to fabrication and installation. Combining the talents of our construction company, Tekko, and fabrication ability, we can construct your operation from the ground up in a Full Turnkey approach.

The plant is located on the Peterson Industrial Depot in Tooele, Utah, with 82,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space in operation.

History

1998

Beginning

Roger Peterson purchased the then 40 year old Utah Fabrication. Located on Pioneer Road in Salt Lake City, Utah. Within the year Mr. Peterson relocated the operations of the company to the Industrial Depot in Tooele, Utah. Through many years of hard work and growth the Peterson Industrial Group has evolved into a group of companies

2008-2014

Growth

Rocky Railcar Repair created in 2008, followed by the addition of Tekko Industrial Engineering and Construction created from the field crews of Utah Fabrication in 2012. Followed up with the addition of the Peterson Industrial Depot in 2014 with approximately 475 Acres and 3.5 million Sq ft warehouse and manufacturing Facilities.

2018

Next Generation

Aaron Peterson took over as the President and CEO, and has grown in that time. Utah Fabrication has grown a reputation of the years, specializing in custom steel fabrication for the mining, energy, industrial, municipalities and manufacturing industries.
